Nature

New Park and the surrounding areas are home to a wide variety of wildlife. From common birds and mammals to rarer spiecies such as osprays and red kites. We maintain our site in a way that preserves habitats and works in harmony with nature wherever possible. Badgers have made their home here for many years and it is wonderful to see the new cubs year on year. In addition to the animals that make their own way here, we also help in the relocation of rescue animals. The small secluded brook at the far end of our site has twice been selected as a release site for otters rescued from locations across Wales.

The river Cleddau, a mile from the site provides diverse habitat for wildlife. A wide variety of brids take advantage of the tides to feed in the shallow waters and herons can often be seen standing at the rivers edge. New Park is only a short drive from the coast and the Milford haven waterway, home to seabirds, seals and sometimes pods of dolphins.

We are members of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales who work to look after our county. Their website is a useful resource for information.
